Stock '93... any guesses?

First of all, I apologise, because this post is a dupe. I originally posted it on the gen. discussion forum. However, I thought that maybe I would get more responses in this area (from Mr. Mojo, et al.)... my curiousity is killing me!!! Once again, I apologise if anyone finds this annoying :bb Okay, I have a completely stock 1993 LT1 A4 with 2.59 rears. I don't even have a K&N in the thing yet. In its current condition, what 1/4 mile times and 0-60 times would be reasonable in the hands of a competent driver (not me...) Thanks! ps... what I lack in answers I make up for in questions!

With Auto & bone stock with 2.59 I dont think you will have traction problems.. so you should be able to run about the same as an experienced driver.. as for ET probably around 13.7 @ 102 mph I have no way of figuring your 0-60 time..

Once at the track someone loaned me one of those meters you stick on the windshield, & it showed my car did 0-60 in 3.9 sec.. ? For what that is worth ?????? But on that run I ran 12.3

You'll be surprised what it will do.

On street tires I got consistent 1.95 60' times, but due to some ignition problems, everything after the 330' was pretty inconsistent, but as you can see I managed a best of 13.37@102 completely stock(except for the K&N, which really doesn't do much).

Having read the above posts let me say all stock 93's are NOT made equal...also, track prep and weather conditions play a big role...if you run 13.7 or 13.8 you are doing well...I'll say, in good conditions, you are going to run 13.87 with a 2.07 60'...how's that for prognostication... :D

I have a 93 with just k&n, no drag radials. The best I ever ran was a 14.1 with average 14.5

My bone stock 95 6spd with 3.45 gears ran 13.9 and that was with shifting short at 5,000 rpms, and getting crappy 2.1 60ft times

This is not my best run, but this is what a stock '93 is capable of with 3.45 gears, a 2800 stall convertor,drag radials and some skinny lightweight wheels(on the front), oh and a K&N(not that the last two really helped).

hell i have a 93 with 2.59, slp cai with k&n's, muff elims, airfoil. relocated iat, and i ran a best of 14.2 @ 99.57 .... thats with a 2.3 60ft time, and i do spin with the 2.59's no matter what

i think i have the slowest 93 vette ever made :banghead:
