I'm going to buy BFG drag radials for my '93,will the 315's work on my 9.5 in wide wheels or should I go with the 275's. :cheers:

I know two guys personally that are running 315/30/17's(nittos) on 9.5" rims as their daily drivers for about a year now with no problems but if your talking 18" rims i'd consider the 295/35 :cheers:

just so you know, they recommend a 11-12" rim for 315's

I did it for a while but you need an 11" rim. I would not recommend you do it.

I've done it too...but only for the strip and to/from stip...no on the daily. They work great, however, they're not made for a 9.5" rim. I only used them since I had the rims and had the 315s - - -

Another thing to think about - consider the actual footprint - the 315 has the potential to put down a bigger footprint, however, would it realize it's full potential on a 9.5" rim? The 275 may actually have an equal footprint and a bet safer as well....

I agree. I would rather my father had 275s instead of the 315s on his cobra. just dont look like it should have such big tires on a 9.5 rim

I have been useing BFG 315 on 9 1/2 in rims with no issues drag raceing. It is true BFG "recomends 10-12in rim with 315's, but as far as 60' times they seem to be comparible. see sig. Ric
