in a .500 tree you have a half second before the final amber light falls. You have to try to time your reaction and your cars reaction to make that half second up. That way you would leave on the last amber.
you do know that they dont all fall at the same time correct?
With a street driven car, its almost impossible to redlight on a .400 Pro tree, unless you are guessing at the tree.. However with a .500 Pro tree if I stage DEEP I'm around .520 - .550.. meaning I'm .050 off a perfect light.. however if it were a .400 Pro Tree I'd be .150 away from a perfect light..
We have a Pro Dash series & run off a .500 Pro tree, Last one I qualified #1 with a .517 light..
With a car thats set up for track only you CAN go red on a .500 but its hard to go RED on a .400
First Pro mean all three lights go on the same time and FULL means blink blink blink.
We run .500 (full) in the brackets. Say you are in the .52x range in brackets. When you do the Quick 4 on a .400 and and you leave the same way you would still get a .52x but now a good light would be .42x. You will be a tenth too slow and will have to change your"spot" or style of launch to get closer to .42x.
You can accomplish this change by bumping in a little more when you stage for a .400 tree or higher rpm but you are already pretty up there.
