Default CCW Drag wheel setup..How do they fit?

Well I just purchased the CCW drag wheel/tire setup with the E.T./Skinny's and they look great! ..But..How did you have to modify the suspension to make them fit without rubbing inside the wheel. John at CCw asked me to flatten the rear A arm top cover with a hammer ..so I did..It's now FLAT! anything else I should know..???

What psi do you run on the road and at the track? John says 25 max on trhe road and 14 psi and lower at the track  How long a burnout? Anything else I should know..?

BTW.. here are some pics of CCW's shop in Daytona Beach..

Here are some extruded RAW blank center pieces BEFORE they go into the drill and cutting process..

Here is a sample of the same raw wheels being drilled and shaped BEFORE the Polishing and Buffing process.

Here we have John stocking a group of wheels drums in stock ready for the application of the center wheel component ..BTW..John lost some weight..Doesn't he look great!!

Some stock of finished wheels and see some of them are black anodixzed centers.

Now you can see some of the stock of tires John keeps on hand for matching with the wheels..MT E.T's..Firestone skinnies..Kuhmo MX..Hoosier slicks..BFG Drag Radials and more.

Here are MY new 16x9.5 and 16x5 wheels just before John mounted the E.T's and skinnies..The wheels are in the sun so that the silicone that seals the wheels joints cure.

Since you were nice enough post pics, here are pics of what you need to do to the rear. Bear in mind I did more than is needed. Do it in small intervals.

Some guys bang them down rather than grind

You went with the 9.5" rear wheels IIRC. If so, not much grinding/hammering is necissary. I'll email you a pic of how much I grinded off with a Rotozip.

Vette Drs did it. I think they used a metal grinder.

Vince what size wheels did you get and did you get them ground yet? When using this ccw setup are you more likely to break something with a high powered C5 A4 like ours? Does he make 17's and 16's for the rear and which are better?

I have 16x9.5 rears and 16x5 fronts...I did grind the A arm knuckle but there is some slight rubbing ..I'll finish the job Saturday..hopefully NO MORE RAIN!

John makes all sizes but he recommend the 16's for the Drag setup..:yesnod:

Anything is possible when you launch with this kind of power but I've been careful and that's all you can be..:D :yesnod:
