Default MSD box = lower E.T.s ?

I have a 95 383 LT-1. I'm considering a MSD. Has anyone seen a definite improvement in E.T.s Someone told me that a MSD would shorten the life of my optispark considerably. My optispark only has 3,000 miles on it. Not a major consideration because the car is for pleasure, and only gets about 6,000 miles a year.

Is the MSD worth the money?

Thanks,
Kerry

I also agree.. I dont think you really need a "HOT" ignition unless you are running a high compression moter, & or turning very high RPM or NO2

MC didn't your MOM ever tell you not to SAS your TEACHER :smash: :_dupe: THats one of the reasons my 87 coupe ran 1/4mi :13.31@ 103mph and your 86 pace ran 13.90s.   :yesnod: :lolg: :lolg:   :lolg:  LS1 have two coils packs and they fire as good as any aftermarket system. MSD has a unit for the LS1 but it cost $600+ and it's has not proven to be worth the Loot.
