G5X-2 Cam (from LG Motorsports) breaks the "Cam Only" 1/4 mile record again!

Hi, This is a copy from another forum of the results from a LS1 Car with our LG Motorsports G5X-2 cam plus bolt ons. NO head work! the heads have never been off.

This is the same cam that we had on special on the Corvette Forum.

I don't know what the DA was(+1000?)small tail wind.
Raceweight around 3100(give or take 10#)
I ripped off a 11.086@123.63(1.569) backed by some 11.1's and 11.2's.
11.4 with traction problems and an 11.6 with traction problems and missing 4th gear.
I have a few more tricks up my sleeve and I will see a 10 sec time slip by fall.

To the best of my knowledge he has the following:

* 2001 stock LS1 engine which has LS6 intake manifold
* G5X-2 cam, with double springs, and pushrods
* Long Tube headers with Merge Collectors/ with dual Borla XR-1 mufflers
and dumps
* Ported TB
* 433 rear gears
* Cold/ram air induction
* 28" ET drags/ skinnys
* weight reduction, but still has the carpet installed.
* Stock, Untouched cyl heads


All of these bolt ons are easy to duplicate on a C5 except the 433 rear gears.
