Nitrous? does 100HP really = 1 second?

Just wondering how much a shot of nitrous made in your 1/4 mile times. I see in the NOS ads that 100 shot = 1 second in the quater. Just wondering what it really did for your car. How much are you running? what are your times with and without it?

I've been throwing around the NOS Idea for a while. But don't want to be throwing in another motor after it goes boom :D But if 100 = 1 Sec in good weather I could run a 10.80 Hmmmmmm :thumbs:

Every car is different it depends on your combination. 1 sec out of a 100 shot is not realistic may be a 200 shot :D

Sounds about right. The last time I sprayed at the track, I was running 13.6's pretty consistently N/A. When I sprayed, it dropped down to a 12.4 consistently. :)

Depends greatly on current ET times and setup. The faster you currently are, the more juice you will have add to make 1 second difference. If you are running 13s now, a 100hp shot will pickup around 1 second. If you are running 10s now, you will needs around a 200hp to 250hp shot to drop 1 second.

on my old mildly modded 87 100hp shot went from 12.9 to 12.1 and picked up almost 10mph......every car should have a 100 shot on it :D :cheers:
