Launching my car

I have a '80 L-48 automatic, and I would like to know the best way to launch my car. Any help is appreciated. :cool:

just pull up to the line. hold your foot on the brake and give it a little gas. then when the light turns punch it and release the break at the same time :cheers:

Well there's not too much to tell. Its mostly stock. It has an Edelbrock 600 cfm carb, Flowmaster 50's, and that's about it. I'm looking to get a different motor, cause I'm addicted to power. :cry Unfortunately, all this stuff is pretty expensive, so I'm trying to save up. Luckily I just graduated from high school, so I'll be getting money from that. As a graduation present from my dad I'm getting ground effects to go on the car, which I think will make it look great. Well that's about all there is to my car. Nothing crazy, or anything really significant, except for the fact that it is a Corvette!!! :D
