I ran at Orlando a couple of weeks ago. I know it is hot, and I was having traction problems, BUT 13.32 @ 106.3mph :(
The mph is what I am worried about. Even with some traction issues the mph should still be up there.
The car has Borla stingers and Blackwing. Everything else is stock.
Re: Whats wrong with my FRC's times??? (FL1999FRC)
It looks like your having traction issues to me, by that 60'. Lets say your goal 60' should be 1.85
(Current 60'-Goal 60')
2.108- 1.85=0.258 difference
(difference X 2= Gain in 1/4 mile ET)
0.258 X 2= 0.516
(Current 1/4 mile ET-Gain in 1/4 mile ET= 1/4 mile ET estimation w/goal 60')
13.342-0.516=12.826
So by my calculations, if you get good traction, 12.82 is a possible time you could run saying that weather conditions stay the same as when you last ran. As for MPH, the hell with it, it's not about how fast you cross the stripe, it's how fast you get to it.

I've heard many people say what you said that .2 in the 60' will = .4 in ET..
However in my case, or with my cars, I've NEVER seen that much improvement.. if my 60' is better by .10, I might only get .13 - .15 at the other end.. maybe its my car ??
Maybe some other experienced drag racers could throw in some of their experience.. as for me .10 better 60' time only gets me .13 - .15 on the top end.
Re: Whats wrong with my FRC's times??? (Red96Coupe)
My math is nothing more than an estimation, the only real way to get numbers is to try different things on the car, make adjustments, and run the car on the drag strip, see what you get and try to do what you can to make the next ET better. Every car is different. As for the MPH, it could have to do with the shifting(only a possibility), you'd have to talk to someone on here that races a stick to figure that out.
Re: Whats wrong with my FRC's times??? (KyleBst264)
Question from someone going to the drags next week. What tire pressure were you running and were they stock tires? If it helps any I ran a lot worse in better weather my first time ever a few months ago. Time to try to get better.
Re: Whats wrong with my FRC's times??? (StArrow68)
StArrow68, do you have the runflat tires? They aren't much good in drag racing from what I've researched. I'd take 10 lbs out at first and make small adjustments from there. I don't know how much taking air out of EMTs will help, but every little bit helps. I'd think it'd be kinda tough to soften up a tire by reducing air pressure on a tire that's designed to run on 0 psi for a good distance. I'm not sure though, that's just my view.
