finally got a 1.7 60 ft on BFG 18 inch drag radials

Got a 1.78 60 ft on 295/35/18 BFG drag radials, 18-20 lbs air with 4000rpm launch...a little bit of spin got best best et/mph...7.745 1/8 @ 93.5 mph...local 1/8th track.

:cheers: Nice 1/8th mile times!! Are you running the 18" DR's on the street? I ask since the tread patteren is different from the older ones & I'm curious as to the handeling.

Yes i am running the 18s on the street...a little tire noise above 60mph, but handling seems to be OK, no codes etc, drove conservatively in a lite rain with no squirely reaction...i did notice that you can leave "traction control" ON and even when accelerating fairly hard it does not come-on...when starting from a stoplight must give a little more gas and feather clutch or tires just grab and cause to bog...i would be surprised if street life is much above 5-7000 miles.
