Trophies for Fastest Time in each Class • 10:00am – 1:00pm
Trophies for Bracket Racing, with all Classes participating • 1:30pm – 4:00pm


We would like to take this opportunity to personally invite you to our 4th Annual Race for the Kids. This annual event will be held on February 9, 2002 and all the proceeds will benefits The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

We will be hosting several events and awarding trophies. Come join in this fun and festive event so that your participation may bring smiles to these children’s faces. Last year Breathless Performance really out did themselves at their 3rd Annual Shootout. The event joined together Corvette enthusiasts, Viper, F-Body, Impala SS and others wanting to test their skills, speed, and courage on the track.

Trophies were awarded from First Place to Third Place in several categories from Stock to Modified to Unlimited. Race times were highly impressive …with times ranging from 14.45 for the LT-1 L98 Corvette in the category of Stock to the Best Time out on the track for King Of The Hill at 9.12.
Not forgetting to mention my buddies who definitely lacked attendance to last years event. That would be the infamous Viper Owners. Last year only two maybe three participated and the others not dared to head to the track. We are hoping to lure the Vipers out to the track so that the controversy of who really owns the road and track for that matter can be put to rest. We promise not to laugh…

Count me in Ernie. Why don't you plan the seminar for the night before at one of those motels or restaurants, all I did last year was just sit around in the motel waiting for the morning, Steve B in Miami

I was sitting there too....What we can do is all meet at Sonnys or another food place and take it over then head back to one of the motel parking lots and all sit around and talk and have fun.

As long as there's a posted meeting place ahead of time like a restaurant. Maybe you or some of your staff can go over some tips. Also you should try to adjust the amt of trophies per class depending on how many cars are in each class. For instance if there's only 3 bone stock cars, give only 1 trophy (you can have generic stick-on plates that are not attached ahead of time separately from the trophy). But if there's 10-12 cars give 6 trophies

Also why not let everyone who wants to participate in the bracket races (with dial in times) do so.

We are letting everyone run in the bracket racing. There will be 2 different types of racing going on for trophies. Heads up and Bracket.

On board with us to cover the event will be major radio station 106.7

billy i was there last year while my car was at cartek....nice event....alot of different classes too... i think its all on a web site somewhere....

whats cool is head/cam cars race comparable cars not nos or stroker cars...

we should see about going south....

Your right what is great about it is you get to race heads up with cars with the same mods and you get to also run in the brackets class so you have 2 chances of winning.

Everyone is invited; remember this is for the Cystic Fibrosis charity. These charities need all the help they can get which is why we put up these fund raisers. Everyone had a blast last year and we plan on making it bigger this year. Now we have the full support of these other fine manufactures and retailers like Hurricane Performance, Speed & Truck World, Daytona Dash, Ecklers, B & B Electronics, Baer Brakes, Bill Heard Chevy, Corsa, Nology Engineering and More!!! They will be donating some of there products for the silent auction.

You have to remember that this is for a charity.. All the proceeds go to the charity. Last year we personally donated 400.00 plus raised about 3,000.00 for the kids. You not only get to race your car and have a blast all day, you also are helping a cause and it is tax deductible.

We are up to 25 cars racing and have room for about 25 more.

I think I'm in, I have to double check with the boss.

Those of you from NY/NJ, if I do go, I will be leaving Friday morning 2/7.(assuming I get the day off)

If you want to cruise down together, get in touch with me. I usually take two days, much simpler and easier on the mind.

This would put us in the Tampa area around dinner time on Saturday the 8th.
