Default Went to the track today, 3 degrees C's at TORONTO MOTORSPORT PARK

We went to Toronto motorsports dragway today it was a big improvement from Grand Bend that's for sure.
They're was the three of us with a 93, 95 , 99 LS1.
93 LT1 with the bolt ons did a 13.2 at 108
95 Stock 13.4 @ 106
99 LS1 with bolt ons did a 13.5 @ 110

The our engines love the cold weather but as we compared time slips the guys with 300+hp had problems with their traction and were spinning their tails on third with streets tires.
The LS1 and the 93 had crappy 60 ft times, they were all over the road and most time had to let off.
I won't post they're names yet but i'd like to mention the post to them cause they were pretty disappointed haaha.

There was one Z06 with 315 drags radials it did 12.2 at 115

Guys with Z06s posting stock high 11s at 118/120 are full of sh"it.....

AND the guys that hollow out their HONDA's with no exaust should be shot between the eyes.... ridiculous..

I beg to differ. I've personally seen Steve Row's2002 Z06(among others) click off high 11's in front of every CCC member here on this board. Power Shifter has a few 11's under His belt and I'm sure He'll chime in. Track prep is a crucial factor. E town usually does a terrific job of giving us "THE BITE" to go as quick and as fast as possible.

A shifter and drag radials to me aren't major mods. It's making use of what you already have. As for high 11's on street tires? I'm sure it can be done...Difficult..but it could be done. JMHO no flaming intended. Just the facts.

When you make your comparisons you need to compare 60' times as well

LOLOLOL...

i will never take out a seat, or unload this or that or slap on slicks, or take out air pressure.... if I go the track, Im going to race it with what I got, the way i drive the friggin thing on the street, crank the music and A/C if i have to.... putting Drags on and claiming all these numbers is just not right... UNLESS, you run and build your car specifically for the track and try to make it a 1/4 mile car and only race it on the track......and you state your mods... instead of saying its "kinda STOCK"

any - fu"ck"en-wayssssss

Dialog is OK, but he's doing it in an argumentative way, calling me a liar in the other posts doesn't fly with me either.

You guys are entitled to state your opinion, but blk95 is making accusations based on my facts.

If it wasn't true, I wouldn't post my times or my timeslips. I take pride in my accomplishments. if you don't want to believe it, that's fine, but it still happened.

You are more than welcome to come to NJ and inspect my car, you'll find that after three years it still is stock except for a new Corsa catback which I installed in March, I haven't made too many runs yet with it like that since I've been running my other car more.

I would love to get another 12 second run out of this car, you gotta remember one thing, the MPH is an indicator of horsepower, the ET is more based on how the car reacts to that horsepower.

Like my buddies supercharged C5, it goes 118 in the 1/4, but only 12.6, we're talking 550hp at the flywheel, where Mackey and Panuzzo with 300 at teh flywheel were doing 12.6 @ 108. So there you have it, the C5 with more horsepower went faster, but the two C4's with less power went slower(speed), but got to the finish line at the same time(ET) due to gearing, traction, etc.

YOur times are very believable, no one's saying specifically that your a liar but on the C4 performance registry if I'm not mistaken there 's more posts there and the history of the posts in the past from other members who, i don't know.
"killer weather stuff like that, jees I"m living in Canada wanna talk about weather"
MY point is If you ran what you ran totally stock, and you bought it brand spanken new did you? or not? That car there is something much different from the majority of the thousands of LT1s made, or u must be some schumacher on the drag strips and to all the other guys posting exact 13.00 or under 110% stock,,,well CONGRADULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TO ALL MEMEMBERS WITH THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS.
AND NEXT YEAR WHO KNOWS US CANADIANS WILL EVEN VISIT SOME OF YOU SUPERSTARS!!!! next year...

Mack, if you dont agree or like what blk95 wrote, then dont respond, not the end of the world.

Unfortunately, we all dont know each other in person, and I am positive, we would all get along. This is all in good fun. No need for the ignorant "hockey" comment.

No , I'm not crying but I don't like being called a lier eather. I don't need to carry the responsibility of the forum nore do I need to be told by you what is in "good fun" or what I need to respond to. This is not the only post blk95 has going on this subject and he sounds like he has a real problem with Vette owners who know how to get the most out of their cars. Thsi blk95 has alos stated thing are to quite here, I guess that means he looking to starrt trouble. I think he should be finding way of making his car faster.

Sorry, that my opinion aand if you don't like it you don't have to respond.

We don't have any bone stock 13.00 LT-1's out here on the west coast that I am aware of either.... actually I don't know of any bone stock LS-1's that have it done it out here, also never seen a 11.99 or quicker stock Z06..... however, I am not naive enough to believe it cannot be done just because I haven't seen it or done it.

2 moinths ago I didn't think a Superram equiped TPI motor could hit 122+ mph naturally aspirated on pump gas with a MAF in place... I would have bet against it.... but Corkvette recently proved me wrong. Point being, I think we should all pay closer attention to reality vs old theories and keep an open mind.... myself included.

As a note though.... based upon blk95 original post in this thread with the 106 mph stock LT-1 trap speed.... that alone proves a 13.00 is possible.... even with the stock tread and stock converter.... I think an LT-1 with a 1.90-1.95 60 ft with 106 mph could squeeze out a 13 flat or thereabouts anyway. Would need a lucky perfect hook to do so, by very possible, and I'm not positive, but I think I have heard about stockers getting 1.9x 60 fts. (I have run 12.7 - 12.8's @ 106 mph with an old combination.... it took a 1.7x 60 ft to get the 12.7)

btw, I was recently in Mississauga & Toronto, went up and ate in the top of the CN Tower... wow !! nice dinner, also stood on that glass floor at about 1000 feet or so..... that was hard to do... but fun. :)

In any regards.... happy racing.

Todd, both of my LT1's, the six speed with the 3.45 rear and the automatic with the 2.59 rear had a best of 1.95 on street tires(Michelin Pilots). Both at the time they were done, the cars were stock.
