Gear grabbing at the track *video*
Thought I would share a video of my track outing the other night. Spent all night playing with tire pressures, and launches. Feeling out my (second, rebuilt) new clutch. DA was not very good, not expecting to set any records, just getting some passes.
Best times were 11.11@125 and 11.17@125. I had made a few changes to the car, and turned off the Wheel Hop Protection in the tune. I lost about 2-3MPH due to the air, but only lost a tenth with same DA, so I am happy and confident 10s are there. Still working towards low 1.6s and 1.5s.

Nice job. I need to work on my 60' times for sure. What's your launch technique like? Can't really tell how much you may be slipping or dumping the clutch.

The video helped quite a bit, I didn't realize I was launching so low. I need more RPM on the launch. Between 6-7k.

Thanks I'll give something like that a try. Maybe not so many rpms for me cause I don't want to break anything lol.

These cars are pretty strong. That said, anything can always break lol. It sounds a little more brutal than it is. A strong clutch is a must because it takes the brunt of the heat and stress.
Bias plies have a much more aggressive clutch dump/slip. Radials require clutch slip because they don't like to be "shocked".

Nice shifting. That is a 10 second ride as is in better weather and with some launch refinement even in the summer.
You need to get rid of that bog. I launch higher than you and don't let the engine go below 4500 if you can help it in the launch technique. I get 1.4's pretty much at will by flooring the car when the tree is coming down and walking the clutch out.
Here is a secret RobZ taught me. Don't hold the car at RPM then release, be accelerating the car into the clutch release. I am at WOT before I release the clutch but you shouldn't start out like that.
I still have my OE clutch with 497 of these passes and 77,000 miles. So I've been doing this a time or two, I suggest you launch a bit lower than me and slip the clutch a bit more to eliminate that bog you are getting. That bog is killing your 60 foot.
Also, scan each and every run and analyze your launch RPM, time to WOT from first tire movement, and your shift times. You will learn a ton from analyzing each run. I certainly did.
Here's an in car video of one of my runs, you can see the launch rpm, where it bogs to, and where I'm shifting at.
Here is the scan of my run in my sig. You can see what RPM I launched at, note I was at WOT before the tires moved and note the car only bogs to 4700 or so, that was clutch fully released and WOT. Be careful with that, you might want to sneak up on it and not try that your first time.

Your next step is exactly correct. But do scan if you have HP Tuners (and it sounds like you do). If you scan your passes I'd be happy to give you my thoughts if you send me the log file.

.....for a Daily Driver of course.
Dev, you'll be gettin' that technique down in no time gent. Great streetcar!
