Default wing info

Hi----I got a strange question.
I have a 2000 vette that runs in the 10's.
I have started to autocross and high speed runs.
I need a wing NOT a drag wing but a wing that may be 67 inch's
in length for downforce the BIG question is will it cause to much
drag when I am in the 1/4 mile.?? Should it be 60 in.??
The vender I have talked too thinks the big wing will be ok
because I have enough power (650 rwhp).
I don't know--anybody out there have a idea about this...
Thanks a lot for your help.

Take it off on the drag strip, it will hold the car back at speed more then most think.

I have been stalling on buying a big wing just because of your concern.
Instead of a 67 inch, if I bought a 60 inch would that be the answer.??
I understand your suggestion which is a good one--just take it off.
I know I can get lazy concerning taking the wing off, everytime I go
to the track.
Thank you.
