Default I hate myself...

I suck big giant donkey thingies...

Today was another IHRA points event at Lakeland...first time shot at 4PM and the DA was +2240...the track goofed up and never dropped the tree on my single...when I re-staged my coolant was up to 180* and I knew the run was a throw away...I went 7.032 but I did cut a .006 light...

Second time shot the DA was +2020 and I got a good clean run...this time I went 6.978...sweet...they gave us an extra run so I tried the left lane and missed the tree going .012 red...the DA was down to +1680 and I went 7.00...left lane is slower so good to know...

Frist round is called and I catch a real pretty Nova dialed 6.73 I dial 6.98 and off we go...he lights the red eye so I run it out the back door and go 6.973...oops..a win is a win though...DA was +1320...

Round two I get a guy with a real nice 72 Scamp...he has a 440 big block mopar and it is a 6.80's car...for some reason he dial same as me, 6.97...guess he was planning on fender racing me...his .102 tree cancelled that chance and I took him on a double break out...I ran 6.953 but he was 12 under his dial...can you say "forgot to dump"...lol...DA was +1280...

Round three and the red plastic fantastic 32 deuce coup pulls up on me...he dials 7.74 and I dial 6.95 figuring I might be holding a tiny bit...he takes off green and I chase, green as well...I can't catch him so I know I am in deep doo-doo...either he is going way too fast or I missed the tree badly...I push him for all I'm worth and he parks it...

I go dead on with an egg at 6.950....and......lose...ugh...you can guess what happened...I completely missed the tree with an .084 light to his .017...I was so mad I could not see straight...I finally catch up with my car and dial correctly only to take a nap on the launch...geez louise!...

The car is running great so I need to tighten up my game now...next stop is back to Lakeland on Saturday for another points event...

Thanks to Glensgages for the help and the parking spot at your place...he lives real close to the track so I left my rig there...

Running dead on and losing sure hurts. I hate it when it happens.

But, the rest of your night was good. Car's running great. Good luck next week.

It would be a nice if we could figure out why the occasional day dream happends at the starting line. 3rd round is better than 1st.

I've lost several races by a MOV less than say .003 (R/T difference plus dial in difference). Bracket racing is VERY competitive at the events where the money is big.

Sorry to hear. Its rounds like those when an opponent red light can make all the difference.

And been running out of the right lane all night and decided to go into the left lane and nobody around I figured I had the bye last-minute a motorcycle pulled up there goes my bye run wasn't expecting that.I was already in the left lane he pulls a 002 on me I thought I had a duck it turns out I was the duck I had a 053 and I broke out on top of it so i am done......................

Thinking of going to Lakeland next weekend will be checking out the weather will see you out there I hope.

Looks like the warm weather is back...next Saturday it says high of 90* with 0% chance of rain...hopefully the humidity won't be too bad this early in the year...in the summer it is 90* and 92% humidity and the sun is shining...ugh...
