Transgendered C2 12.03ET, Street tires, 360 RWHP, 3.55 rear gear
Finally got to get my Lady, Lydia on the track at LS Fest to see how she performs in street form. She's a Walmart girl, a little heavy in the rear end... She weighs 3279 LBs 50/50 distribution with no fuel. With a full tank of gas she weighs in 121 LBs heavier on rear, for a total of 3400 Lbs. Runs were made with 7/8 tank of fuel, due to me not thinking and filling up car night before. May have cost me high 11 run.
LS3 376/480HP HO engine, making 360 RWHP
TCI 6X 6 Speed Transmission, 2800 RPM stalled converter. 3.55 Rear Gear
Nitto 555 300 Tread wear Street Tires
Why I call my 64 Midyear "Transgendered". She was born Male, but became a Female with a lot of Plastic surgery to give her curves to fit over wider tires and wheel with tire coverage.

Kudos to you for taking such a cool and stunning car down the dragstrip!
Pretty fun I bet.
There is more in it I'm sure.
I bet you like the TCI trans, that's quite a box for sure.

I for sure could use some tips. LS fest was the first time I had Drag raced since 1967, when I was 23 year old, and that was Bracket or Class racing...
Looks like Atlanta has a Test & Tune Saturday Nov 2. Might be able to make it down if cars tuner can make it too. He wants to see car in the 11s so he's willing to come along so we can data log runs and make changes to tune and shift points to see if that helps. He wants to see mid 11s times if possible.
By the way, was reading the rules for Fridays street racing, I saw their helmet rule for 13.99 and faster cars was full face. I have a NHRA approved open face helmet which is legal 11's per their rules. How strict are they on that rule?

You are one of the few people that probably knows why my car could run in the low 12's with a 3.55 rear gear...
I love the 6x. Makes driving the car a blast even on the highway because it will downshift into 1.18 ratio 4th gear that makes for a 4.19 rear gear equivalent to pass with. Like a hit of NOx..
For the strip, the 2.97 and 2.23 1st and 2nd gears help with getting cars weight moving and once it shifts to 4th you have the 4.19 ratio for the long haul.
Thanks for the Kudos for taking car down the strip. I also drive it in the rain too...
Thanks to everyone else who likes the car look also.
I built the car to drive. When your my age, you drive'em cause your not worried about resale value... Some people think it's a show car because of the body work, but the engine compartment is about being able to maintain car as nothing is hidden and no body color in engine compartment. The underneith of car is no where near show quality either. Car is about what you see the most, body and interior.
Here is link to build thread if you are anyone else is interested in seeing a Red Neck Barn Build using paint stir sticks and a 4"x4" to set clearances with....

PS: Sorry about the shameless plugging of my car....

Beautiful vette! looked like 1.9 60's on the time slip.
get the traction controlled & easy 11's. I had Nitto's but didn't like them went to MT Dr's for 1.6's 60ft.
