Trailering C5
I am about to purchase an open aluminum trailer to haul my C5. This will be the first time using a trailer so help for a novice will be appreciated.
It seems the consensus from the forum is to tie the car down using "T" hooks placed in the frame jacking puck slots. I have two questions.
1. Could someone send a link to purchase the correct T hooks?
2. Using the T hooks and the trailer bed "D" hooks do you cross the tie downs?
Pictures of a C5 tied down to a trailer using T hooks would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I have an 18' Kwik-load trailer. Hope this helps.

I use the Pierce Arrow Towing T-Hooks from Northern Tool:

I cross the rear tie-downs.
I don't have any pics handy, but I don't think a pic would help much.
I use the same procedure with both my C5 and C6 and it's much easier than using axle straps IMO.
Find someone local with a Vette who has towing experience to show you how to get your car loaded/tied-down properly. It's not particularly difficult, but if you don't know you don't know - and I definitely didn't know when I started towing.
Which part of FL are you in? I'm sure if you post up in the regional section someone would be happy to give you a hand.

Safety Car
I just used a jacking strap on all 4 wheels ,just wraped it over the slicks at the rear over the top of the tire and pump the tire to 14 lbs and a cross over for the front to hold the skinnies .These cars don't like the body to be crushed down on the suspention for long runs.I blew the shocks that way once.Especially if you have QA1's
