Chevrolet Performance LSX Shootout Participant Party Announced!

Every year one of the highlights of the LSX Shootout is the Thursday evening Early Bird Participant Party, presented by Chevrolet Performance. NMCA will once again host a very special welcome party for all early bird arrivals and it is open to everyone. The party will feature music, complimentary beer and sodas, BBQ, and a GIANT free parts raffle with over $10,000 in give-away prizes, and more! Every party attendee will receive a free raffle ticket for a chance to win one of our great prizes contributed by NMCA's huge list of official sponsors.

Host Hotel Info - NMCA World Street Finals Event featuring the Chevrolet Performance LSX Shootout at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis, IN, Oct. 11-14, 2012

The FueLab NMCA World Street Finals, presented by Flowmaster, will once again take place at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis, IN, Oct. 11-14, 2012. This awesome event will feature all the cars and all the stars of the NMCA as well as the 6th Annual Chevrolet Performance LSX Shootout, the largest LS event of the year. Watch as NMCA and LSX racers set their combinations "on kill" in search of world championships! Also, be sure to plan on walking the NMCA's massive vendor midway and spending time in the DuPont Custom Finishes Car Show, which features some of the coolest late-model and early-model GMs, Fords, and Mopars in the U.S.

Did you book it at the host hotel (the awesome and still relatively brand new Hampton Inn listed above)?
That's where most of us (well, other than Rob and his rolling condominium of course ) are staying and there were still some rooms available as of last week.

Called Hampton inn yesterday, they were all booked. We're at the hilton right next to the hampton.

Awesome. The two hotels are literally a few hundred feet apart separated by a small field (on which the early bird party/BBQ is held) and are the ONLY two buildings on the dead end street that leads to them.
They're both less than 3 or 4 years old as well and even though it's near the airport where you'd think that the neighborhood might be 'questionable', it's actually quite safe.
I take this sneaky back way directly to the track from the hotel that no one else seems to appreciate but IT WORKS. No traffic (as the 'highway route' often has due to construction) that early in the morning and it's roughly 3-4 miles shorter as well.
The best part, on my 'secret route' we pass this Meijers https://maps.google.com/maps?q=10841...na+46123&hl=en supermarket/department store that has EVERYTHING you'd ever need while away at a race LOL, including the various foods we'll need to BBQ on Rob's awesome grill and alcoholic beverages.

Be ready, it is going to be a good weekend.

Once again I am in for a large package (or two) of fresh chopped meat and lots of hamburger buns to accompany it.

Other items that might be needed if anyone is seeking ideas:

Ketchup (I love ketchup on my burger by the way )

BBQ sauce

Ice
etc.

I have the BBQ sauce, corn, beers, vodka (Smiths have there brand of Vodka too) never have enough.

Is there a beer truck that has been converted to a Vodka truck? If not, it is a great idea. I will look on ebay.
