I read the rule book and followed the discussion on yb which includes some NHRA tech and SFI folks from what I saw. I am quite confident it does not apply to anything other than the NHRA Super Street class. We run 10.50 corvette only (majority C5's) index class at Raceway Park, Englishtown. I am pretty sure if they were to implement that and impose that I would have been notified as it would be the end of the class. Most of the folks on here race at Raceway Park.

As for a fitting blanket, Tracy, The Bat Car, provided a link to blank he "fit" into his C5. It is not a direct fit and not made for a C5 but he made it fit. As he stated not SFI, but accepted.

As discussed on the yb thread, a track can choose to impose any rule they wish, whether it be an NHRA mandate, suggestion, recommendation or even a misinterpretation of those or something they feel is necessary for their track, racers or insurance.

Sounds like your track is choosing to impose the rule on all racers regardless of class.

FYI.....I found a company who make diapers for most late model GM vehicles. Fits like a glove and can be on and off on minutes. Pricing is not that bad and there are several options to choose from. Everything from the batwing pans to the LS7 dry sump pan and everything in between.

I'm not sure of the forum rules (about posting a link to their site). Anyone interested I can PM you the info.

Thanks.....

Cool. I would hope they would a appreciate a lead to sell sponsorship to...at least that is how I see it. I am sure repeated plugs would be a problem.

The diapers are offered in nylon or kevlar with kevlar straps. They have all the details. They said they fit very snug...like a glove.

Not a bad idea, can save the car from a possible wreck, or at least down time for other racers.
