I hope I don't turn into a popsicle on Wednesday night. Hopefully we'll get some great runs in and break some records.

Joe: I'm going. Ran PBIR last Wed. and the track seemed O.K....Not great but O.K. Ran a flat 10.90 with a 153 60 ft. I hope they prep the track...Nothing worse than nice cold air and a non prepped cold track. Hope someone from PBIR is reading this forums comments.
This would be a great opportunity for PBIR to win back some of the Corvette Challenge racers.

If the track is not up to par I'll speak to Eric. He is usually pretty good in my experience of making things right for us. They have stopped rounds to prep when we have complained in the past. Mike did that too if you recall.

If the track temp is below 40 and the humidity is above 50% no amount of glue is going to work I'm afraid, in my experience.

Thanks,
Joe

Looks like a decent group of "US" will be there. Meetings, meetings, meetings, that's how my day will be. Next to last meeting is at 3:00, I'll get to the last one as soon as I can. See you there...

I think I'll give it a shot. I was going to wait until I made some changes(better verter, tires, and cam), but what the heck.

I was in Dallas yesterday and the baro was 30.77. The temps were in the 50s by the time I got there. It was high 40s at night... Imagine running in that weather?

Joe, I'll be in palm beach next week. Perhaps we could get together... If the weather is good maybe you'll go again next week?

Have fun tomorrow.

Wow that is some baro! I have never seen that high here.

Cap'n I will be nuts at work next week, I will not be able to make it, but after that I'm more flexible so stay in touch. Always like to share stories with a fellow gear banger.

Default Current DA at PBIR

This is the lowest DA I've ever seen at PBIR.

If you could combine this with sunshine.....that's how you set records.

Gonna be warmer tomorrow unfortunately.

Fun night at the track as always. Only problem is, as usual, cool weather brings out the newbies and folks going for record runs with untested setups...so a turbo Supra took out the left lane early after an attempted 1 hour clean up...then after they gave up and went right lane only, another car blew up and took out the track completely ending the night early.

I only got 3 passes. Next time I'm going to have to leave work at 4 to get there by 6.

Joe that sux!! I can relate to it thou...
Went to Atco this past fall and the temperature had dropped so fast the track couldn't keep up with the prep and cars were dropping oil, left and right. After someone slid into the wall about 1/2 track and another hour or so of waiting they finally closed the track for the evening. I had one (1) pass all night.

Thanks for the update.

Yeah that was a rough one, I got there earlier so I think I was able to get 2 passes in before that happened but it still was frustrating after driving so far to get there and back.
The hot dogs that you and Marshall cooked in the pits afterwards were awesome though.

Woof no wonder you didn't do any better with that kind of DA. Even my F150 feels snappier in this weather vs. the summer.

My guess is you were dangerously lean if you're tuned SD in the FL heat. Do you have a wideband?

Yeah, I have 2 but didn't grab either. Last minute decision to go. I have both vehicles hooked up and routed to the inside for easy hookup to the wide band. However, I needed a Tuner with me. I limit myself to Tranny rpm adjustments for Safety sake

I never heard back from Ranger about the vids he took of my Silverado. He recorded two 11.16 & two 11.15 runs, missed the 11.14. He's probably busy in Maryland wating on more of that perfect air. Hopefully he doesn't delete my vids.

Gotcha, was just curious. I agree with Joe, log would have showed a drastic difference I'm sure as you probably know.

Yeah next time I will make sure someone knows HP Tuners real well. My kid used to adjust at the track..sometimes he could knock off 2 tenths by the end of the night. However...he quit racing on me, Go figure
What kind of kid is that ??
