I was not able to make it this year. I did accept the offer but the Vette is still in the shop. I think Doug is there representing us.
Plus I caught a cold which is kicking my A$$ right now.

Race Director
not OBTRP-related, but Dan Warren is in SoCar this weekend, participating in the regional IHRA Finals, representing Central Florida Raceway
although he is w/o a computer this weekend, I assume he will file a complete report upon his return

After battling rain, it looks like they got 2 rounds of Pro and Street in today and some of Super's 2nd round. 1 round is in the books for bikes and high school. No idea how Team RP is doing but they're gonna try to get back racing at 9 am.

Sorry guys I didn't represent the Corvette Challenge very well.
My car is not consistent enough for an event like this. (No time run on the day of eliminations)
I cleared out one logbook in my weather station and kept it in the same spot in my pit the entire time. (which was right next to the staging lanes 600' from the starting line.). I literally could walk 5 seconds to my pit and check the weather station AFTER my lane was called and still get back to my car before the lane starts moving! Entered all three runs in the cleared out logbook. Had good launches on all three runs and solid consistent 60' times. Got two runs on Thursday and one on Friday.
On Thursday my RT's were -.002 and -.001. Both times I could feel I staged a little too deep so I wasn't to worried. On Friday my RT was .080, not too good but I felt I was where I should be on the line.
On Saturday Round 1 my weather station predicted 14.383. The DA was down 769', BP was up .03", the RH was up 20%, and the temp was down 11.1* from my fastest run on Friday which was a 14.340.
So I went with the weather station and dialed a 14.39. Lane was called, walked back to my pit for one last check on the weather station, said the same, strapped in and went racing! Was up against a 11.89 dial.
Got a green light, at about 100' checked my mirror and the board, no red light. Half track looking like it will be close, at 1000' definitely will be close! I run it out and he beats me by .02. He breaks out by .081 and I break out by .107! WTF!!!! I NEVER sand bag or hold anything. I always dial tight and try to run every race out.
Got to figure out what to do to make my car more consistent.
I'm a little ticked now so I'll be looking to kick some a$$ in the up coming Corvette Challenge races.
Seriously, I feel bad about the poor representation of the Corvette Challenge!
See you guys next race!

It has!
The whole experience was great. It was fantastic that all the tracks were pitted together. They even had track seats in the stands. And Jeanne is terrific team Captain.
I will definitely try and make the team again next year!
