I heard about this yesterday and did not want to say anything out of respect to friends and family. Plus there is an active investigation going on. It has been on News12, this is a local news channel in NJ for cable customers.
I was hoping this was not true but after doing some research I was able to confirm.
So sad. If the news is correct about what happened, I want to inject the lethal dosage, kick the horse out from under them while hanging from a tree or line them up for me to practice my marksmanship.
Miss you Mike, we had so much fun. I will never forget you.

I'm getting the impression that there seems to be some sort of cloud of odd questionable circumstances behind the whole thing, but then again there usually is in cases like this.
And honestly I don't really care about the how or the why it happened because hearing that a really good guy and GREAT racer that I've known for over 8+ years has passed totally sucks either way.

Not to state the obvious of course but I feel a little ceremonial moment of silence, slow pass down the track and/or general tower announcement at the next Corvette Challenge/GM EFI event (as has been done in the past for our fallen friends/fellow racers) would be very appropriate, almost mandatory even.
