Default Shen wins 10.50; Farley takes 11.50; Fischer wins the CC; and Peppler in Real Street

3/26/11 Event 2 ECS Corvette Challenge

On a very crispy cold day, quite a few of us donned our thermals to race in conditons that never exceeded 38*F. At the start of the day Walter reported that the DA was -2000 ft. Yes, that is two thousand feet below sea level .

10.50 David Shen admitted that he finally found a long enough "screw" to slow his car down, successfully qualifying #1 and then winning the event over Marshall Brown. No time was recorded for Marshall, I am not sure if he broke or what.

11:50 Farley took advantage of his bye into the finals and scored a win over Anthony Cupolo who unfortunately went -.030 red.

CC It was yours truly who took the win over Farley in the brackets. My .014 light pretty much sealed the deal. Some say I sought revenge for Farley taking the win over me earlier today by .006 in round 2 of the 11.50 index. All I can say is it is always fun to beat someone as good as Farley.

Real Street Don Pepperl was back on his game going 5 rounds in Real Street to take the win over Bill Reitz.

Congrats to all the winners! Was great to see everyone again. Cold, but a great air day & I was lucky enough to have borrowed some DR's from Tony B. & set 3 PB's. But also later in the day had a lot of trouble hooking and made some dumb mistakes. I think I need a tranny tune..
