Saw the guy (Ken?) From Texas chassis works today at PRI, was going to ask him if he knew if it was coming back, but didn't feel like bothering him.

I'm in Naples for the weekend. I'd love to drive up and see the show on Saturday.

I participated in 2 Pinks events this year and will never do so again if Rich is involved.

I have participated at races at different tracks running the same type race and here was the difference.
Well run race = Whip cracked on the racers and racers told you ain't in staging area you are out ! Race finished by curfew at 12:00 .

Same group another track more laid back ! Most fans and most racers gone after first round and three qualifying passes and final round 3 AM in the morning with dew on the cars !

A certain discipline on the part of the racers and the track crew is required to run a race on time even more so if you include filming.

Herding Racers is almost as bad as herding cats !

There is always one more thing to check preparing a car for a run !

It may have a correlation to the new NHRA Unleashed program that started this year.

The only common thread is Stephen Pullin and his production company...There room for both shows.

Given the rules I saw for the 2010 Un-Leashed series by NHRA I'm not too sure how many of the guys that ran PAO would feel about the rules and therefore move over to the NHRA series. Of course there is the "Heads-UP" Index classes that I believe run freom 7.0 to 13.0. Still the PAO was totally open to most anything and I think that helped its drawing power, besides of course the $$ and potential to be on TV.

lol... well, I gotta root for him because he's my twin brother :-) He does what the producers ask of him and has more personality then other members of the PINKS staff. If you ever attend an event, watch him.. he's out there hanging out with the crowd and talking to the people. He really enjoys it from the bottom of his heart...
Trust me..... he's a true gear head at heart, and has done alot to promote racing in Denver.

i don't know where you think drag racing was dying off? we may be losing tracks, and that issue needs to be addressed, but every track i know of packs em in and has for decades.

There has absolutely been a reduction in car count/race attendance over the last 3 years, at least in this area of the country, I've seen with my own eyes at three separate tracks.
It might be the economy, it might be because of the rules but whatever the reason it is a reality right now unfortunately.

Or here out in Northern California at either Infineon or Sacramento Raceway as we always have great turnouts.

We all know they want Rich out. ***** B could do the job and yes he is a racer and very personable. I stood on the starting at Bristol and watched ***** B run the Quick 8. He stood out there talking about the cars behind the tree and would activate the lights. I'll tell ya it worked well without Rick's arm drop. It maybe the way the show may go....takes the show away from Rich and gives it back to the racers....
