Congrats to first time gear jammer winner mikey "arch" archibald he beat out some worthy advisarys and knocked off defending champion donald peppler also finishing in the top ten, quite an achievement and with that he gets the coveted top 16 jacket but it was not done alone at each and every race is an old time drag racer and mentor...mikeys dad fred...in the background doing whatever is necessary low key cool calm collected...a dynamic combination...not done with a computer controlled fuel injected no problems car but a points condenser ,carbureted,40 year old relic and a stick shift to boot ....in my opinion quite a feat...anybody looking at this unlikely pair at the start of the season would not have given them much of a chance only problem nobody told them that and they prevailed....atip of the hat to the father son "team archy"
