Default Jegs stage control valve

so i am heating up my coffee and open the jeg christmas catalog and see this Stage Control Valve

Looked it up and looks like a line loc.

Anybody using one of these? Do these things (line locs) wear from abuse...in other words it something that should be replaced at certain intervals?

You know what's funny Edgar, I have had to rebuild many of the expensive line lock soliniods over the years, yet every "cheapy" line lock I have ever installed (Biondo) is still in the cars working great many years later. (some getting close to 20 years now) So this is a case where IMO more expensive is not better.

I think the jegs looks cheap cause it is just the valve but with all the other parts they are expensive

Are you looking for gift ideas for Dave? If so, let me know and I'll send you a list (I already have a line lock).

By the way (off topic, but going on my Christmas list): Do you happen to know if the "under 10 sec / over 135 mph club" requires SFI-5 or the much more expensive SFI-15 classification for pants/jacket next year?

I "think" 5 or higher is acceptable?

But, I have been reading the NHRA 2009 Rule Book and the 2010 amendments and finding myself a bit confused (what else is new) between these ratings when you start to dig into supercharged applications, sportsman, brackets, etc. Any advice would be appreciated.

Same for gloves... SFI 3.3/5 or SFI 3.3/1 ? I am thinking "1" or higher is acceptable?

I think I have the other stuff covered (Helmet, Collar, Shoes, etc.)

Thanks,
Dave

When it comes to consistently reliable late model Corvette line locks, there is only one choice:

The discussion included something about "Christmas" and I am putting my 2010 "wardobe" on my list for Santa

Besides, Line Lock topics get very boring very quickly: been there, done that, yup front brakes engaged, burnout, done... What more can ya ask for? Maybe one that has a digitial display of line pressure PSI

I figured it out (that it was not me) after I posted - LOL (Duh!). But, I was off topic

I am en route to Sin City, hoping to win enough cash to pay for all my winter mods

But, as a backup plan, I am going to sell my modified RPM Level 6 4l60 with 3800 Yank, as well as a 3200 Yank and my blinged out, too cool, Savini SV3 street pack (rims, tires, TPMS, etc), plus some 26" CCW drag rears with M/T ET Streets as well as my kick-azz stereo system and Stealth Box sub / JL Amp and maybe even my wife (unless she wins the big one - jackpot that is - in Vegas)
