Wow, so much for trying to slow them down by shortening the passes LOL, still blindingly and dangerously fast.
What does that translate to for a 1/4 mile I wonder?

I can tell you that Tony Schumacher's 4.428 in the 2006 Pomona final had a 1000' time of 3.759

slow them? I thought it was to give them 320' of extra shutdown and to keep the explosions to a minimum?

It doesnt seem like they have changed the tune ups ,

Well, yeah, that too. Maybe the actual intention was not to slow them at all but umm, 321mph is still slower than 336+mph.

I understand why they did it, but i was hoping to see a 340mph pass in my life time..hell maybe 350! I hope they update the tracks and go back o the 1/4 mile, but I doubt they will anytime soon.

with all the emphasis Glendora places on the East Coast / NYC market, which is the race at Englishtown, and the fact that OBTRP is one of the shortest & land-locked tracks, I doubt they'll ever run 1320' at that flagship track again

after the Scott Kalitta accident, I believe they'll think-twice before launching 330+ MPH rocketships towards concrete walls

1. There was no concrete wall at the end of Englishtown's dragstrip

2. The curving guardrail that was at the end of the strip was not hit by Kalitta's car
