Even just a one tenth improvement over last time out is no small feat when running lower 9s with a manual!

Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I know this guy and he definitely wil put together a superfast car.
He's likey been around racing cars for 30+ years to my 4-5years.

My plan was to run a smaller cube motor(under 400ci) on a drag radial and see if I could grab that 6 speed record n/a and keep it very streetable.
If the goal was to go deep into the 8's we would have utilized a giant cubed motor like people will eventually do.
