Congratulations First Time Winners Paul Bogdan and Dave Harreis - ECS CC Catek Pro 10
First Time Winners Paul Bogdan (CC)and David Harris in Pro 10 DI in Even 9
10/31/09 - Rain threatened again but not enough to stop Paul Bogdan from taking his first Corvette Challenge victory in our 9th race of the season. Good karma comes to those who give and Bogdan gave by entering the Pro 10 DI to help coordinator Edgar Perez and then went on to win the Corvette Challenge when Tony Cupolo went red. In Pro 10.0, we had five entries and David Harris won the three rounds to capture his first Pro 10 Double Index vicotry over Edgar Perez with a .028 margin of victory. More details to come and preliminary points have been updated
Way to go guys

Thanks so much… I can’t say how wonderful it feels to win my first Pro 10 – Words just can’t describe it. It was just a little over a year ago that we started racing the car, after I asked the guys at ECS to build me a street car that could compete in the Pro 10. Well, they did their job and it was left to me to figure out how to run a number and work the tree (and I still have a long ways to go on both).
However, today’s event came as a bittersweet moment. The battle for overall first in points appeared to fall on my lap in two rounds today, first when I was paired with Dave Shen and then again later when I was paired off with Edgar. Both of these guys have worked so hard this season and both are friends of mine. How did I get so lucky to be in the middle? But, whenever I pull up to the line, my intention is to win, no matter who is paired off with me. And, this has been a tough season to pull off many wins as can be seen in my overall points standings.
With that said: Congrats to Dave Shen for the overall season win! Now, don’t forget that cheeseburger you owe me – You Da Man!!!!
Congrats to Edgar for Runner Up and Second in Points. I hope you still love me :o
And, Congrats to Paul for his win in the Corvette Challenge. It was a pleasure having you join us in the Pro 10 today and I hope we see more of that in 2010.
As many of you may know, this came at the end of a very tough week for Vivian and me and I want to dedicate that final, and winning, pass to two loved fathers who probably had the best seats in the house: Vivian’s dad who just passed away this past week and my dad who left us many years ago after a long struggle with MS. I know they were both watching and cheering, maybe almost as loud as Dave Shen when I took the stripe!
I also can’t say thanks enough to Vivian who has been with me at every event (as always, her photos are linked below)... And, of course, the guys at ECS who continue to work with me on this dual-personality car that remains street legal and yet competes in a tough 10.0/10.5 class. Be sure to keep an eye out next year as our winter plans are to change the “10.5” that you've seen written on my car in 2009 to “10.0” for 2010 and I’m looking forward to another season with some of the best people I’ve ever had the opportunity to become acquainted with. To all of you in the Corvette Challenge series, the sponsors, Raceway Park and more, I want to say thanks for making this a wonderful year.
And now, I shall now leave you with some photos from today’s events:
- Or -Thanks Again,
Dave
