Mustang silly.
Need to know if we will get time slips. I would think we would. I will go if there is a time slip. Since I am testing and tuning. I can't see not receiving a time slip.

I've been to 4 or 5 E-town track rentals (mostly rented by magazines/publications) and they are quite strict about adhering to the usual safety and noise regulations.
5 point roll bar for 11.49 and under, 10 point for 9.99 and under, no cut outs/open headers etc all apply unless things have changed recently.

only restrictions are the standard NHRA rules. we have both of the US's fastest BMW's coming. high 8's low 9's.....

That sucks, I was interested, I wanted to get some shake down runs in. I have no bar yet. ohwell.
I was wondering are they ever gonna change the rules for the roll bar on 11.49 cars? There are plenty of car out there that are faster than that stock, or stock with tires. Not many people want to put a bar in a street car? Im just one man talking.

the rule was changed a few years ago. it used to be 11.99 hard top and 13.49 for vert. now it is 11.49 hard top and 12.99 vert. so hope is there but may take a while.

Any spots still left open? I may be interested as I was planning to go T&T that night, but a rental may be even better!

Hey Russ, Maybe I'll find out, although my plan is to SLOW IT DOWN as that's been a problem for me lately and the CC P10-DI is the following day.

I'm in / paid / done / caput... See you there

Dave

I hope they sell race fuel at Track Rentals.

we have a nice handful of corvette forum members coming. out of the 40 cars allowed we take up about 5-7 spots and as of right now looks like only 2 spots left. thanks for helping us out guys! this was a last minute switch from our original plans. and most of the guys signed up are just going to have fun and are mostly street cars so those of you bringing the heat it is much appreciated. my goal is hopefully get into the 10's... gonna be a great day and a great showing.

THANKS AGAIN!

In regards to the timeslips for a rental, please note that aside from EMS and fire, no track crew is provided in the standard rental fee (though available at an additional cost and subject to crew availability.) Therefore the starter position must be filled by a volunteer from the rental group. Also, most magazines simply receive a copy of the run sheets at the end of the day, though we can place a timeslip printer on the starting line by request. But since there is no computer operator, someone must handwrite the car number on the back of each slip as it prints. Please make sure you have enough people to assign someone to these tasks, or request crewmembers with sufficient notice.

Russ, there are also a couple of track rentals coming up at another track if you'd prefer to get in on one of those once the car is ready, maybe give Julian a call at the shop if interested.

not sure if anyone else needs it but i have made arrangements for the race fuel pumps to be open from 9:30-10am for those that need it. if you do not get it at that time the pumps will be off for the rest of the day.

Has anyone else from the forums signed up for this rental at e-town on Friday 10/30?

I heard they still may have a few slots open.

I am gonna do my best to be there and wondering if I'll see anyone I know.

Dave
