Cam swap question
I know technically this is not a drag racing question, but I thought the chances are better someone here could best answer my question. I have a ZZ/4 350 cu .in crate engine and want to swap the cam. Since I'm going from hydraulic roller to hydraulic roller, what besides the springs do I need to change? The engine only has approx. 500 miles on it. I haven't picked a particular cam yet, but I'm looking for a little more performance than the stock one. BTW, this is in my '69 Camaro. Kevin

Thanks, Fuzz! I'm going to call them and Lunati also. I'm just afraid any dealer/manfacturer will automatically recommend changing them, eventhough they may not need changing. I've talked to three people who are knowledgeable engine builders and so far all agree the lifters are ok. Kevin

Yeah, with a hydrolic roller the lifters should be fine...I run a hydrolic flat tappet so I need to put in new lifters with a cam change...

I talked to Lunati and they said the lifters/springs are fine. He also recommended the #60121 which is 219/227 @.050 and .515/530 and 112 LSA. As far as OSW... maybe the 'vette
