Default Race Proven Motorsports 8.81@154 C6Z06

Worlds first 8 second z06. We made our first pass off the trailer today and went 8.891@ 154.47 after the 30 mile street cruise. This was all done on pump gas and the car weighed in at 3350 with driver.

About 2 hours later. we went on a different tune we went 8.81 @ 154.90 on a 1.323 60'

This is a 07 c6z06 with ls7 block with our custom cam ysi blower, stock intake manifold, and RPM 4l80e auto conversion on IRS on pump gas(93) with methanol injection.

I thought Paul Major (or was it Paul Z?) was the first 8 second Z06.
This is likely the first 8 second C6 Z06 of course.

That was great run. Thought about putting a trans brake in the car so that it can lauched at a higher rpm? Thanks for sharing.

Does not appear to be a roll cage in that car. Per NHRA rules a car that can run 8.80's at 154mph must have a full roll cage plus other safety items. I know that no NHRA track would allow a car that quick and fast on the track without the proper safety items.

True, it has neither a roll cage nor even a basic roll bar but the thing sure is FAST.
