We need rain dates and we will get them. This will not be a take - take and take, Somethings are needed. Rain Dates is one of them.

1/8 th mile racing sucks , it's easier on parts but very boring , if the NHRA Pro classes ever go to it , I'll stop watching them .

We all understand that and Napps have done a good job growing there business with the mx and go carts, but really hasn't done anything to grow the drag strip. Look at the money the Corvette Challenge series brings into the the track and that was a real hard sell for those of us who where there in the in '99/'00. Maybe this format should be looked at and expanded, E-town need some new and creative events, bring in new classes and build now for the future. The same old thing won't cut it in today economy.
If Mike Napp is listening I an unemployed and looking for work

If northern tracks ever convert full time to 1/8th mile I'd put a nasty NA motor in my car , put the M6 trans back in and go road racing .

The new track in Charlotte is supposed to be the best facility in the country , that would be cool to have it there .

That would be a great place to have the 09 national challenge, but we don't want to get behind and miss any spring dates.

I'm glad I read this before sending in my points signup for next season. If us Real Street guys are going to get the shaft like we've been for the last few years there won't be too many of us left. We don't get rain dates, so if all classes are consolidated to one session, does that mean we should get rain dates for '09?

No rain dates for Real Street Artie.
Don't know what you mean by RS getting the shaft.

Our Corvette Challenge rain dates, It is pretty simple, our rain dates are sponsorship driven.
Our racers and sponsors put a lot into the CC. RS is a different animal.

Vette was out of my price range so I picked up an old Camaro instead If anyone's offering seat time I'll take it though.

Edgar, as far as getting the shaft from RP, there were a few instances this season that the RS guys were not happy about. Only getting one or two time shots because they wanted to wrap up early really got to a few people. This happened a few times. If you want me to go into detail, I'd rather discuss it in person and not air the dirty laundry in this forum.

Artie, some of the cars you searched for Ellis would be well within your price compared to what you are going to spend on the Camaro.
