I hope the layoffs at BG and now the "slowdown" don't effect the attitude of the workers there, they are due to build my 09 this week. It would be a real bummer selling my 100,000 mile C5 which had very few service visits, to get another LEMON like my 96 Vette was (GM buyback starting at 296 miles!) it looks like I better take a new notebook when I pickup the car at the museum to write down all the problems

Everything will be fine with your new '09 Dennis. Don't worry. Shoot Mackey an e-mail. I'm sure he knows a few people at the plant.

Truthfully, the build quality on these cars has been exceptional, IMHO, since the introduction of the C-5 platform. Yes, there were component issues, but these are very well-engineered cars. I'm more concerned about the job loss, and what it says for the future of the Corvette. Then again, it's been threatened before over the years, and now more than ever, it stands alone as the best "bang for the buck" against anything else on the planet.
