College fund for Leo Barnaby's daughter & Memorial Pass for Leo Barnaby Nov 22
Leo's brother asked that I spread the word about this. Leo's car will make a memorial pass at the Corvette Challenge on November 8th. It'd be nice to have a large turnout to remember a man who gave so much to drag racing and Raceway Park.
This may also be another good opportunity to collect donations for little Jenna (Leo's daughter). Please give as much as your means allow even if it's $5. I will collect donations on Nov 8th and send them to Leo's brother who is in charge of creating a trust fund for Jenna. Alternatively, please mail donations to:

Just some final comments on Leo's tragic and untimely passing...... We've all heard the saying "life is short." After Leo's passing many of you posted about your experiences and interactions with Leo. Some good and some controversial. Several of you didn't see eye to eye with Leo at first but, with time, you got to know him and his products and eventually built great relationships with him. Unfortunately, there are few people out there who never got a chance to bury the hatchet. And now he's gone and so is the chance of simply saying "Hey man, let's let it go."
The point I'm trying to make is that you never know when any of us will be called by the Big Guy upstairs. Life IS short. There just isn't enough time for petty BS. Make sure that your families and friends know that you love them because you just never know when you'll have the next chance to let them know.
Leo's death rattled me pretty badly and gave me another perspective on life. ENJOY your stay here. I'm not here for a long time......I'm here for a good time.

Well said Paul , Unfortunately Leo's passing makes the third friend I've lost who didn't make it past the age of 40yrs old , I lost my best friend in Florida in 2001 , he was killed in the plane crash with the singer Aliyah in the Bahamas , he was her bodyguard .
I still think of him often , and everything you've said is true , life is too damn short sometimes . I'm glad Leo and I buried the hatchet back at the end of 2005 and became friends , we got to know each other pretty well . I still can't believe he's gone .
I'm officially letting go of all grudges I hold with anyone on here and outside of here , most guys that race are competitive people and our pride gets in the way sometimes , especially on the internet , holding a grudge with someone is a waste of energy , and I've wasted a lot of it over the years .
Anyone I've gotten into it with is as guilty as I am for fueling the fire , the good thing is everyday we wake up , we have a chance to become a better person . See you guys on November 8th .
Thanks Paul and Mike for the effort and the kind words.
I feel what you guys are saying. When I lost my kid brother in 99 I lost a huge part of me. We all need each other.
I'll be there to help honor Leo.
just thinking of u & Leo your missed .. God Speed buddy
