Default What to Do With My Totaled Z06?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1st the good news--I'm absolutely fine,no aches,pains,bruises,etc.

Now for the bad news.At Etown on Sat I wrecked my car in the 1st round.
I had justed shifted into 2nd & got tremendous wheel hop. Then rt rear tire grabbed & car swung violently to the right, blower belt snapped, lost power steering, crossed line into the right lane missing the other car by ~ 20 ',hit the
wall on the driver's front, bounced & then back swung around & driver's rear
banged the wall,& the car stopped. Both air bags had deployed & the radio still worked.Estimated I hit at 60-70 mph.
Not having a place to store car,Chris at ECS very kindly let me have it flat bedded there & temporarily let it sit. There are lots of good parts, but I have no place( or desire ) to strip them.Blower head untouched as well as assorted
engine goodies,good DRGs on chrome wheels,interior perfect,gauges,etc.

Also car has A title since I still own it (no insurance company involved).
If someone wanted to put it together with another wrecked C5,it would not
have a salvage title.

This has to be one of my biggest fears right here. I"m glad you're ok and I'm really sorry to hear about the car. I really hope you can make something come out of it so the loss doesnt hit so hard in the wallet

Glade your OK, I had 2 Vetts at Bowling Green friday at the NCM's BASH almost hit the wall after they lost control. This is a hugh problem, part failure and driver error can cause big problems.
I'm looking at the possibility of NASCAR type "SOFT WALL" for the NCM new drag strip. we need to reduce the possibility of driver injury.

Richy, I was the other car in the right lane.
As I told you after the race, I'm glad you are OK.

Out of curiosity, I'd like to see a video of it, to see how close I came to going down with you.

I don't know if there is a video, but if someone has it, I'd like to see it, via Email. I will not post it on the internet. I know how immature internet users are, they get entertained by these type of crashes.

Again. I'm glad you're OK.

Wayne

All I can say is I am really glad that you are OK Richy. And on the walk back to the tower with you all I can say is you have on hell of a positive attitude.

You told me that you were in the market for a C6 anyway.

Hope everything works out for you. Again glad that you are OK.

Bob,I wanted to thank you for your immediate assistance;I really appreciated it.
I bought a new '08 crystal red metallic coupe yesterday(LT3,Z51,yadda,yadda..).1st automatic in 53 years of driving.
Wrecked car was daily driver for the past 6 years with blower, etc added
5 years ago.Not very comfortable for cruising with my wife or driving
around center city Philly where we now live.
Again, thanks to you & all the Challenge people for their help & concern.
