Good point LOL...but then again it would've been a nice courtesy to at least label the thread title as something along the lines of "Force versus Force, see who won inside" or "warning, spoiler inside" instead maybe?
To bad I didn't see this earlier,I would have gone to work on my car instead of having to watch it.
Force,John new he was going to blow off the tires ,you could hear him talking about it to his crew cheif over the head set before the race

I have a tendency to believe that too. Him and his track guy had a very interesting discussion beforehand.
When Force asked about the bump @ 150' on the team's squwak, Bernie Fedderly replied they didn't think it'd be an issue:
people in the turn-off area are saying that John Force and Austin Coil were seen semi-heatedly discussing the car's performance while Ashley was being interviewed by Gerry Gerould on ESPN2.
Ashley has had the best-performing & most-consistent car outta the Force-camp this year, while John has struggled (and Neff has been almost non-existent):
would hate to think John blew the ballast and put the boat on the ocean-floor for his daughter.....

here's the thing, she didn't make a soft pass all day. As quick as that run was in the final, SHE could have easily been the one up in smoke. If daddy was going to take a dive, she''d have been tuned to run a .90

She nailed the tree and ran her quickest run and second quickest run of the event. If it was going to be a gimme, they would have soften up the car. Instead it was on kill becuase she wanted to win after several runner ups.
"IF" Repeat "IF" John took a dive....I think there was enough brain power and $$ in the Force camp to make it look better than to smoke the tires at the hit!..
They could have left the head bolts loose, or run it low on oil, .. or .. Etc.. Etc.... to make it look a Helluva lot better than that! I honestly think John was going for it, & it was an honest race!

I was there on Saturday watching the Qualifying rounds. They're usually when all the blow ups happen
Great fun, we got some closeups of John and Ashley in the pits.
Old Spice was there too.
I have been dragracing since I was 16, but its been since then that I have been to an NHRA nitro event. I forgot how much thunder these things explode down the 1/4 mile. AWESOME
My 11 year old daughter was really eyeballing the Jr. Dragsters in the Pits. Maybe next year after dad puts his C4 in the 8's
Best
