Default A Message from Marc Wesler

I once read a quote that stated, “Success is where preparation and opportunity meet.” It is with that quote in mind that I head down what I hope is the path of success. As of February 16th I will resign my position as Dragstrip manager at Moroso Motorsports Park. The “preparation” has taken place over the past year. I have had many great experiences, made many friends, and even learned a few life lessons. The “opportunity” has been provided by Virginia Motorsports Park. It is with great excitement and passion that I meet this challenge and opportunity head on. The general manger, Bryan Pierce, has given me the opportunity to run a state of the art facility and every imaginable tool for success. It is often stated that to settle for anything less than excellence is unacceptable and it is excellence that I hope to obtain.

I would like each and everyone to know that I am very thankful for the opportunity that was given to me by both Sue Moroso and Aaron Weiss. They took a chance on a 23 year old guy who was fresh off the block and were a huge part of any success I may have incurred during my tenure at Moroso Motorsports Park. I wish both Sue, Aaron, and the entire Moroso Motorsports Park staff nothing but the best and good luck in the future. I would also like to thank the racers, without the racers my job would be obsolete. The racers while grumpy at times, were always helpful, respectful, and appreciative. I am happy to call you my friends.

It is with this letter that I say farewell, but not goodbye. For those of you that might make travel plans in the future that brings you within a stones throw of Virginia Motorsports Park I ask that you stop and say hello.

Good Luck and Go Fast.
