How much do bias ply tires expand?

Right now, I'm using 29.5 inch tall Hoosier Radial Slicks (not Drag Radials) and radial tires do not expand (at least not significant) Now, I'm thinking in going with 29.6 inch tall bias-ply slicks and I wonder if they will clear.. I know that they will fit when the car is sitting but I've read somewhere that bias-ply slicks will expand between 1 and 2 inches at 150 mph.. Is this true. Does anybody have the actual numbers of how much those tires may expand at high speeds?
