Default Would this combination work for Drags

I'm looking to get some drag radials amd would like to know if this combination would work. I'm getting a new set of 4 rims for the car and I was going to use the old 18X8.5 front rims to mount BFG 275/35-18's and put them on the rear to race. Will there be any interference problems? I know the rim is about 1/2" narrower than recommended, but I figure it'll be OK. Comments?

Yes it will work pretty well ....another option would be a 265x40x18 drag radial (BFG used to make one and now Mickey Thompson makes one as well), a 265 fits on a 8.5" rim better than the 275s do and it also give ya a little more sidewall (though slightly less gear as well).
