Default NHRA has their head up their Azz

Here is a link to TORCO web site! NHRA is letting John Force do the development for the new FC chassis ??? Someone said "SFI" now stands for “Something Force Invented?”

I wouldn't go that far.. BUT I don't think ANY ONE racer should be setting the precedent for what the chassis rules should be...

the drag racing world, NHRA management has settled into a position that suits them well -- following.

Where do we start; with the championship format or maybe we should make a run at the still unpublished Funny Car specs?

Forgive us, isn't the SFI responsible for providing the specifications; at least that’s what the NHRA has said for years and is even now telling their critics. John Force Racing and Ford’s engineers are designing a new chassis and we are waiting for the results of their tests.

Since when is an entity outside of the SFI and a competing race team responsible for establishing chassis designs and specifications?

With the amount of responsibility being undertaken by parties outside of the neutral stance that SFI is supposedly based on, is it fair for us to assume SFI now signifies, “Something Force Invented?”

Might as well, after all, Force has done all the heavy lifting in this project. Here we stand, just weeks before the official launch of the season and the sanctioning body is looking to Force and Ford Engineering for the answers they've been unable, or unwilling, to come up with.
..... and the plot thickens surrounding the chassis fiasco

Bill Miller confirmed that he was told by testing officials that his car cannot test during today's NHRA Time Trials in Phoenix, Arizona due to a discrepency with his design and the SFI spec handed down.

Miller, as you will recall, was an outspoken critic of the NHRA's allowance of heat-treated tubing last season.

Could this be an act of retaliation for a design that is actually better than the one put forth?

Torco's CompetitionPlus.com is on top of the situation and will have a full report later.
The azz-hats in Glendora wouldn't DO something like-that.....

..... would-they?

With the above type of thinking (or lack-of-same ), the 'truth' is whatever they want it to be, at that given time.
