I seem to recall seeing that we have a July rain out make up day on 8/25, which I'd like to attend, but their website is not clear.
Jeff or Bob, do we have a non-points event this Sat? I'm dying to try out my new setup!
Yes Joe, non points this Saturday the 25th.

Any truth to the rummer that you sold the corvette and will be running a Kia soon ?
Doug
You guy's are just killing me Doug.
I won't be racing Saturday as I have to be in work Sunday before the crack of dawn. My wife however wants to go, so we will more than likely jump in the truck and come out to support you great folks of the Corvette Challenge Series for a couple hours.

First Neil ditches us for the Mopar challenge, now you're ditching us to run the truck challenge?
Maybe Jeff will ditch us for the Sport Compact challenge, give us all a chance to get ahead in the points standings
Well, according the manufacturer's specs, the Daytona R/T should be capable of doing the 1/4 mile low 14's in factory form. Still have to finish breaking it in, so no runs this Saturday. I am busy selling off parts from the Z06...hopefully I will get enough to bring the Daytona into Roger for a couple of mods to be done soon. Maybe exhaust or something. I am already learning about the non-performance enhancers from the Charger forums (Hopefully, that will comfort you to know, Jeff ). Stephanie and I will be up at Moroso, barring any rain. If you have a C5 and want some of the parts I had on my Z06, check out the link I posted above. I could bring the parts out with me (except for the seats...don't have enough room in the back for them).

Low 14's?????? That sucks I don't know what the truck will do, but hell i'll race you and kick your butt out there. Now get on your forum and ask if your Daytona can run with the big dogs.

Hey...bracket racing doesn't matter how fast you drive. But, I am checking on "my" forums what I can start doing to the Daytona. Hey, if I have 500+ miles on my Daytona, you might be on there "Knees".

Wow - Bob and Faye at the track...it will be like the good old days!!
John, don't tempt me about the sport compacts. If only one car shows up every week, I run one race and am guaranteed a trophy and I won't have to race those damn Ramirez boys!!!
Joe, can't wait to see what your cam and tuning will do in the 1/4.
Me too but I'm not expecting any records (yet). Honestly I still haven't gotten used to the much faster shifting I have to do as it raps up much quicker! I really rely on my ears and learned timing for shifting more so than the tach believe it or not, and this cam has me completely re-learning the car like I had to do when I first got it.
Robert, Doug and I are looking forward to the October or November open test days to really shake out our new packages. 3 back to back runs every hour will really get the shifting and launching set as a habit.
Also, as an early heads up, last November they had professional photographers taking pics and selling them on open test day, getting ready for the Citrus Nats. So plan ahead to get that day off!
One of my favorite pics. Robert, Jeff S. and Craig all got one that day too.

Here's a pic of my car last year. Jeremy drove it. This time I intend to be behind the wheel. Already have Oct 12 marked on my calendar for the all day T & T. I'm going to beat my best (and only 5th time down the track) of 12.3@120.6. Of course, won't do what Robert or Jeremy have done, 11.1@123.6 and 11.2@127.8. But, I'm hoping to get into the 11's.

Y'know, that's an excellent point. I've got a beaten up Eagle Talon rotting away in my daughter's friends' yard I could probably race.
It's probably the easiest way to get that 1st place trophy, though...
