That rule is certainly nothing new, and has been around for years at a minimum. Those with regular street tires should go around the water, and those that wish to go through, need to go through, forward motion only. And yes, some of us do frequent the forums

What I'm trying to say about the water box is I like to go around and back in then do my burnout,Because the 2 times that I drove through the water box I spun the tires at the line and I think its because I'm trailing water up to the line with my front tires. My first pass I drove around and backed in and I did not spin off the line,Then was told I can't back in anymore.I'm not complaining or anything and I never said anything bad about E-town I'm sorry but I do not know who Nick Goldman is,But nice ta meet ya.....................Paul

IMO, things moved too quickly

When your car is busted, the time between rounds is realllllllllly short....lol

The gates opened early and we breezed thru. And for a change, Panuzzo wasn't in front of me with that stupid credit card thing Track was tight and everything moved smoothly...well until my line loc became permanent.

Great job by the Etown crew

Paul, Nick Goldman is a racer, a track employee and one of the two Saturday announcers. He has also written numerous articles for the Corvette Challenge and most importantly is our dedicated Awards Banquet Announcer and a great help to me when it comes to that.

Oh and Nick is also a future Corvette Challenge Rookie of the Year Right Nick!

I am also pretty sure there is a sign under the tower that says no backing up allowed.

I also would to than Paul Bailey and Raceway Park for the adjustments this week. I talked to Paul earlier in the week and knew of the planned changes but did not get ot post them.

I also spoke with Eddie about one of the other concerns and will have a poll/post regarding a future adjustment that will alleviate one of the other greivances that was brought to light. I will do that later this week

Yeah...what you described doing is exactly what the rule is there to prevent. I look forward to meeting you at the next race...you can usually find me in room 104 of the tower (hint: i'll be the shorter of the two announcers.) And Edgar, thanks for the kind words as always. If you'd like to purchase a Corvette for my birthday tomorrow...I'll see what I can do about entering the series!!
