I can see that on the side of a funny car!
drove the vette to work today......wonder if I should make it haul my butt to BMP to watch you guys. I just might do that since I missed Super Chevy because I felt like doo doo. Anyone else see a trend developing here?

Thank you very-much, Robin.
I know you'll 'get-even' with me soon-enough.....
My points-lead lasted until .001-seconds before my Green bulb glowed in Round #1 against Candice Swenson in her C3 (quite a good driver, going .018, then .040 against me in back-to-back runs! ), when I fouled-out, keeping my string of First Round Runner-Ups intact @ 3 with this Series, so I went from tied for First to tied for last in the Points-standings today.....
After applying for welfare (buy-backs ), I believe 3 of my 4 opponents fouled against me, so I was very lucky today.
I spoke with a young fellow in a Blue C6 (who made time-only runs today ), and a group of 3 other guys at the track (a '69, an '80, and a C4, but none had brought their Corvettes to the track today ) who said they'd like to begin racing with us at BMP in the future, so we might get bigger fields in the future @ BMP.

Congrats Glen!!
Had a great time today and even won a round with my 6-speed C6..
Ran a 13.44 on a 13.40 dial with a .028 light
Had a .05 light in the 2nd round (opponent was .11) but my car ran almost 2 tenths slower than my 3 previous rounds...

don't feel bad... after you hear this you'll see what it means to get "OLD"
Today was Import vs American Iron...So "me" thinking I'm sooooo smart, decided to run my Vette in the 14.00 - 14.99 class... My thinking was cut a light put a fender on em, & just take the stripe by a little..
Well it worked GREAT for 2 rounds.. In the 3rd round Ralph calls me & I'm the 3rd pair back.. so I told him stay on the phone & I'll give you a running commentary of the race..
I'm dialed 14.00 the kid in the other lane is 14.99
my tree comes down & I KNEW I hit the tree good.... only problem is I FORGOT I WAS DIALED AT 14.00 I 'm running it hard to the 1000' stripe, & turn to look for him.. he was at 1/2 track Then I realized I was going wayyyyy too quick.
I tried to give it the Farley slide... but I MoJoed him... I was standing on the breaks.. but ran 13.79 @ 55 MPH as I crossed the finish line...
To make matters worse after I look at the time slip.. he cut a .488 light... I had a .009 light..
I took the stripe by 1.213 sec. had to be 10 car lengths... That ended my day in the 14.00 class..
So much for brainstorming... or sandbagging..

Thanks, Bob, but I was very-lucky, and I know-it, too:
'winning' after buying-back is little reason to celebrate, but I desperately-need the seat-time
(and with a 16-second car, I get PLENTY of it each-run!!!!! )
