Default Hot Rod drag Week Nitrous passes

This was the first time for me running nitrous and drag radials at the track. I figured no better time than the present at Hot Rod's drag week. I was in the 12.0 daily driver class and needed to see what the car would do on motor and on the bottle for my best time index's and was I surprised. I made it to the third day before the crank pulley decided it wanted to make sweet kisses to the steering rack

Heads/cam/100hp tnt on 275 Mickey T drag radials

First run r/t 0.041
60' 2.134
1/8 7.488
1/8 mph 100.70
1/4 11.592
1/4 mph 127.49

second pass with better burnout
r/t 0.374
60' 1.812
1/8 7.245
1/8 mph 100.91
1/4 11.146
1/4 mph 128.19

I was damn happy with that one, but got worried because there no rollbar in my Vette.

So I did a third motor only pass and let out about the 1000' mark
r/t .555
60' 2.135
1/8 7.82
1/8 mph 96.4
1/4 12.402
1/4 mph 96.60

Turned in my final pass which was when the pulley came loose and made some really nice screaching sounds at the 1/8th mile marker , it ended up being a
1/4 12.86
1/4 mph 116.3

Thanks to AllThrottleNoBottle and Ranger for some take off tips

Sorry about the crank pulley.

We'll read about you in Hot Rod in a few months

Default Congrats

Congratulations to you and your low 11 second runs. I am guessing with some extra practice with tire pressure and playing with different rpm launches you will see a 10 second timeslip very soon.

Thanks guys, with more practice and a 6 pnt rollbar, 10's are closer than I can think.

As to Hot Rod pics, there were alot of very nice cars out there, so I can only hope for one or two shots

Congratulations, Joey.

Bunch of new things to learn with 100 hp of the juice. Have fun.
