Default C6, there are no DRs for the 19' rears, what to do?

I'm new to this, I'm interested in running DRs all summer long. I heard that the Nittos will do what I'm looking for, Highway (100+ my norm) and Track. I had an idea of buying C6 wheel 18's that go in the front, and put them in the rear to keep the car looking original. My C6 wheels are the comp grey.

Here are my questions,
Do they make 19" DRs?
Will the front size rims mounted in the rear w/DRs will do?

No 19" drag radials, yet (maybe never either).
The fronts will work but are just too narrow (8.5") to properly accommodate almost all of the available 18" sizes.
I have the comp grey rims as well and have been looking on ebay for a set of 18x10 replca/aftermarket versions but can only find 'em in silver.

can the C6 run 17 inch rims in the rear like the C5s? That way you can get a set of front wagon wheels and mount the BFG DRs.

I'll let you know on Saturday...I'm going to try my old (17X9.5)Z06 rims/ET Streets this weekend. I hear it works. If not, they will be for sale

I run ET Streets, they don't come in 18 inch, plus 17 inch gives you more sidewall and less drivetrain punishment

Dave,

Why not let Ed try your tires out. This way, someone might get a chance to see how they hook when launched above 2500 rpm.

He can try them if he would like, and I'll have you know, I launched at 3 grand once, just once
Makes me wonder if my car had a 10 second pass in it....we'll never know. It ran 11.3 with a 1.77 sixty, it would have been close.

Will you be watching or driving?

I think EB20003 tried using Z06 fronts and they would not fit on his C6. Then again maybe it was Z06 rears. Not sure it has been a while.

Neither...car is out of commission, and I'm working on Saturday, then headed to a party in the late afternoon. Win one for the Special Kipper, Dave.

Thats a bummer. I think I'm outta there early...too much to do at home, I shouldn't even go, but I need a baseline for the new ride.

17 inch C5 Z06 front rims with ET Streets do fit the rear of a C6, I just tried one on.

When is your new motor going to be ready? Are you going with a democratic or all out set-up.

Maybe with the new Z out someone will come out with a great 19" tire for traction.

Negative on the Z51...After being on the C6 forum for a while I decided against it just to be different, I also bought the Orange one to be different. I was tired how hearing how much better and faster the Z51 was from hundreds of guys who will never set foot on a track.....we'll see how slow those F55's really are
