Well, went to the late night drags here in Portland last night. My cars is a 2004 Coupe, A4 with 2.73 gears, Borla twin tip cat back (140017) and a freshly installed Vararam. No computer tune, no upgraded stall and stock run flats. My best ET was 13.021, Best MPH was 106.50. Best 60Ft 2.080. Average run was 13.15ish @ 105ish. I had a few problems, thru a CEL twice, both times were P0101 (MAF code). The car seems to be pulling timing up high and a few times was very hesitant to shift into third gear. I never got back into the 13.0XX’s after the first CEL. I ran at 25psi for the first 4 runs then went to 20 which seemed to help the 60ft but took a hit in the top end.
At the end of the night my buddy and I switched cars. He has an 03 Mitsubishi EVO 8 putting down about 300 at the wheels. I ran his cars fastest ET and MPH of the night @ 13.157 and 106.11. He ran a 14.336 @ 104.20 in my car <snicker> Gave him some insight into how hard it is to launch a rear wheel drive car. And no I didn't leave traction control on.
I am a little concerned about the top end problems I had and the CEL lights but I assume when I get the new cam in we’ll tune it all out.
