Road Trip to Atlanta for Heads UP on INDEX racing 4/30-5/1
The second event of the National Street Car Association (NSCA) is coming up in three weeks.
There is lots you can do here if you want to race.
There is the Saturday only American Super Car Challenge. You run heads up in an index class that you fit into, 12.50, 11.50, 10.50, 9.50 or unlimited. Racing is done Vette vs. Viper or Vettes only when we run out of Vipers You will race against ONLY cars in your ET class so it is PURE heads-up! Payout based on car count. 4 cars in a class (ET) = $250 to win
$100 entry
You can also run in the EFI class. This is a two day thing with qualifying (to determine ladder as all run in this class) on Saturday and Eliminations on Sunday. (same thing I did in Louisiana). This one is a little different from ASCC above. Indexes are in half second intervals so and you can get in with a 17 second and quicker car. So if you want to be in 12.00 or 12.50 or 13.00 and so on, you are good. this is a mixed class with all kinds of cars allowed as long as they have EFI, which, with my limited car knowledge, most of us do. You will race against cars in different indexes so there will be handicapped starts. For example, if I am in the 11.50 class and you are in the 13.00 class, you get a second and a half head start. It is just like bracket racing only the dial is set for you by the index you run in. No breakout allowed. Payout, guaranteed, $500 to win and pays down to quarter finals (round of 8 which can was only needing 1 round in at the last race). You can earn contingecy as well.
$145 entry plus points sign up.
Both classes, ASCC and EFI are on a .500 PRO TREE. All three lights come on the same time.
I plan to leave Thursday but if you are aggressive, you can make the drive in one day so you can leave Friday.
I will be happy to provide more detail upon request.
Jerry Land and Chris Young will be going to this as well as me.
I think Paul Major is probably going as well.
PS, These gusy come to Cecil County June 11-12 so you cannot make that one, you can make this one.

I have an interest, but still waiting to see if there is going more marketing and promotion for the event. Haven't heard much from American Super Car. Don't even know if they are running the class or even if anyone is showing up Vettes or Vipers. Website is still down. Anyone know what is going on?
My apologies. I went to http://www.nsca-racing.com/ and then clicked onto the American Muscle Car logo and got this http://rollingthunderz.com/ It said the website was under construction. I didn't see any race results or info regarding the races, so I just assumed there wasn't any turnout. If you think there are people going I will go.
Edgar,
Ned told me that the grudge racing would be after our finals on Saturday (30th). I am NOT going to tow 600 miles and break the car in a grudge race on Friday and miss out on points on Saturday.

Snakeskinner, would you be wanting to run both ASCC (Vette Viper race) and NSCA EFI or just one?
Rules are different for both classes as are cost and schedule.
Presuming ASCC only
rules are here http://rollingthunderz.com/racerules.html
Cost is $100 to enter
Schedule is Saturday only, first couple hours are test and tune.
Noon, qualifications for all classes begins. We get three qualifers and they will be about an hour and half apart while all classes are qulifiing. Our elimination for this ASCC race will begin around 6 pm or after all three qualifiers are run for all the classes.
When you read the rules, I think your ET will fit into Genuine Street except for I think you have a supercharger and power adders are not allowed in the class....HOWEVER...an exception can be made if that is the only thing keeping you from the class. A weight penalty can be given to allow the supercharger in the class.
Check out the rules and you can send an email to Ned Erkman, ned@rollingthunderz.com if you would like to attend and need to be assessed a weight penalty.
I know it does not make sense for an index class but rules may change soon but for now, he is going the penalty route.
If you want to run NSCA EFI it will be an easier fit for you but it is a two race. Qualifying on Saturday and Eliminations on Sunday. Rules for that class are here http://nsca-racing.com/index.php?page=efi_eliminator
