Default My TT is alive and doing well.....

Went down to Neverlift this morning to check out the car. Leo had the car running so we took a little spin. This is what happened when we tried a little burnout:

I guess the brand new ET Drags full of air didn't grab well on a sandy street at 14 lbs of boost Notice how straight the patch is, though.

Here's a view that some of you Pro 8 racers should be getting used to :

Here are the new Weld wheels:

And here's a side shot:

Very true, Edgar! No parts scattered on the street or tranny fluid spewing all over the joint.

We actually half-jokingly thought about going today but there are still some details that need to be addressed. We should definitely be at the track next weekend.

Good luck with it Paul,

Should be fun to see the two pauls go at each other! And if they break then maybe a game of dragstrip scrabble.....nice to see Cartech back in the hunt.

I can't help it. I'm getting weak at my old age

Fun test drives? When the car launched, my ass slid over a bolt that was on the floor.

Isn't this the car that Julio put together? The twin turbo? Good luck and I hope you do run those numbers that car looks very much the beast it probably is. See you in a few weeks. Major has been practicing with the tree all winter and might be one tough customer this year in the pro-8.

I'm no expert in the English language, but I think you could read this as a "past tense" statement.

Yes, Cartek had built ths car over the last 15 months. Because of various reasons, I've decided to change things up a bit this year.

With the new suspension, new tuning, and several other changes to the car, we're going to stress the front end of this car. I wasn't able to keep the drivetrain from breaking long enough to really put a load on the motor and run a good number. I just hope that after spending all this time and money building a motor to stand up to high boost, the problems won't move from the back of the car to the front. I have confidence that the motor was put together well and, hopefully, I'll finally put all those ponies to the ground and start having fun racing again.

Paul, I think that with the suspension and chassis upgrades you'll finally see the true performance of that engine. It was fast running at low boost. Be safe, and I'll see you at the track.

Love those Welds. We were very close to going with them but went with the alumastars instead. Looks like one mean ride!

Paul , I wouldn't do too many dry burnouts on the street with those ET Drags , you'll ruin them real quick . Can't wait to see what you can do with that Cartek power , now that you have a real suspension .
