04/09/05- Effective immediately with our next race, April 23rd, 2005, East Coast Supercharging Corvette Challenge presented by Romar Fabrication Event payouts will be increasing. That is right, the biggest series at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park, will now be paying out more.
1. Winner will receive $300 (up from $250)
2. Runner-up will receive $150 (up from $125)
3. Each Semi-Finalist will receive $75 (up from $60)
So, let me see if I understand this correctly........ If I buy 2 more Corvettes, race all 3 cars at every event, and do reeeeeeeeeealy well I can win over $500 every time?

What we need is some cashola for the Pro 8 racers
Cash for Pro 8 is certainly something we would like to see thoug I doubt it will ever be enough.

Wait a minute, I can win a pay out with a stock C5. But a $100,000. pro 8 car doesn't have a pay out. I'm trading my car in on a stock car and taking lessons from Edgar!
Maybe next year there will be a bracket class, pro street class, and a pro 8 class. Hopfully there is a tuner that will step up to sponsor that class.
I hear ya on the sponsorship issue. I can certainly have a discussion with one or two people and see what the feedback is like. I don't care if the payout is $100, that's $100 more than anybody is getting right now.
Paul I appreciate your effort. Realize however, at this point sponsorships for 2005 are closed as the flyer is going to print soon.
However, if you get something hoping quickly before mid next week, we might be able to squeeze them in.
Oh, I didn't realize that. Sorry. Instead of rushing into things right now, I almost think it's better that I talk to some people and see if we can come up with something interesting and rewarding for next season.

Doug, remember if the VETTE DOCTORS hadn't step in last year the Pro 8 may have not even run. It's because of great sponsors llike the ECS and all the other that thses type og payouts are possible.
I'm sure someone will come up with more Pro 8 sponsorship money in the future, and adding a Pro Street class is a very good possibility. All it takes is sponsors and atleast 4 cars.
Actually Ralph, payout has no relation to gate fee. Gate fee went up for all classes and they did not get increases.
On the other thing, well....since it is effective now and the rain out make up is for a race that was before the increase, there will be no increase for the make up.....if, and only if, the person earning the funds is one of the ones that objected to the makeup.
If the driver did not object to the makeup, they will earn the full amount
